Every template on ReportsExcel is a normal Excel (.xlsx) or Word (.docx) file. You need no account, plugin or email address.
1. Find your report. Use the topic cards on the homepage or the search box. Each guide explains what the report is for and what usually goes in it.
2. Check the preview. The image above each download button shows the actual file. Click it to see it full size.
3. Download. Click the amber button. The file saves to your Downloads folder. On a phone it may open in a preview first, so use “Share > Save to Files”.
4. Open it. Excel 2010 or later and Word work best. Google Sheets and Docs work too (File > Open > Upload). LibreOffice and Apple Numbers or Pages open them, but some formatting can shift.
5. Edit safely. Change any text, logo or colour. In Excel workbooks, leave formula columns (usually shaded) alone, and add rows inside the table so totals keep updating.
6. Print or share. Use File > Export > PDF for a clean copy. The Word files are laid out for A4 and US Letter.
Troubleshooting
- “Protected View” banner: click Enable Editing. It is Office’s normal warning for downloaded files.
- Formulas show as text: the cell is formatted as Text. Change it to General and press Enter.
- Dates look wrong: check your regional date format (DD/MM vs MM/DD).
